Turtle is a weighty baby. The shell is paper clay and beeswax. The body is filled with glass beads. Fabrics used - long pile mohair which was hand dyed a lovely green color. Wool fabric for the legs. I also used vintage mohair for the hat, viscose and vintage cotton throughout. The eyes are vintage glass beads.
The ears are adjustable. The hat and the shell cannot be removed as they are seen or glued into place.
Baby Turtle is jointed in 5 places.
As with all of my creatures, the are boutique dolls and not meant for children or play. If the wax on the shell or head dulls, simply take a piece of paper and buff. It'll shine right up! Keep away from direct sunlight.
