Fae Fox is jointed in 5 places. They are made with mohair and found fabrics. Beeswax was used for detailing, in a slow process of layering, hammering, carving, painting and layering again. It is an interesting process that I'm trying to perfect. The effect is a natural, molting look, that feels very earthy and time-worn.
Their legs are carved from sticks and waxed for longevity. They are stuffed with wood wool and cedar shavings.
